  • Our cruise is lead by a professional marine biologist who is also an active researcher and teacher
  • We use interactive hands-on materials such as baleen, krill, fluke catalog, marine mammal skulls, etc.
  • We are the only whale watch to listen to live whale songs as we cruise via radio link to sonobouys in the Sanctuary (courtesy JupiterFoundation.org). We also deploy an on-the-spot hydrophone for direct listening.
  • We use a laser range finder for client interactive judgement of legal and non-harassing whale watch distances. How good are you at judging a football field over water?
  •  We operate a state of the art, powerful, fast, safe & fun adventure craft to get you to the whales fast!
  • We have a photo gallery on this website for downloadable 'best-of' photos from our cruises so you too can have great whale pictures

The waters North of Keahole Point (Kona Airport) to Upolu Point have been designated as part of the Hawaiian
Islands HumpbackWhale National Marine Sanctuary
. Research shows this region to be the area of highest
whale concentrations for the Big Island (as indicated by the flukes on the map). Departing from the heart of this
Sanctuary, Kawaihae Harbor, our powerful adventure craft
will quickly take you to the whale concentrations, giving
you more time with the whale pods and less time traveling.
